Cercetări privind modificarea oţelurilor austenitice manganoase turnate în piese

Abstract: The study reports a contribution in pragmatic terms regarding one of the most important processes in the metallurgy of steel and that has a critical influence in the quality of castings. The author introduces –at large- the theoretical and practical aspects of the modification of austenitic manganese steel, according to the last theories in the field, in attempt to justify the distinctive complexity of physico-chemical phenomena that take place in the metallurgy of steel. It lays emphasis upon the importance of the preceding conditions of the modification process, intended to contribute the getting thoruogh of the modification. The study reports the technology of modification –determined through researches and applied in plant specific way. It is presented most the technology of the complex modificators, including the properties of the steels obtained this way. The study can be usefull to all that are studying and producing pieces made of austenitic manganese steel.
