Maria NICOLAE În procesul de restructurare şi viabilizare a siderurgiilor proprii, parcurs începand cu anii `70, toate tãrile industrializate au manifestat o preocupare evidentã pentru aceastã ramurã consideratã ca industrie de interes strategic – naţional. Procesul de viabilizare şi de îmbunãtãţire continuã a tehnologiilor şi tehnicilor existente precum şi dezvoltarea unor procese noi, constituie paşii concreţi cãtre raţionalizarea resurselor şi astfel cãtre o dezvoltare durabilã a industriei oţelului. Preocuparea specialiştilor de a creşte productivitatea capacitãţilor de producţie în condiţii de consumuri reduse şi de a îmbunãtãţi calitatea şi performanţele produselor siderurgice, a condus la dezvoltarea şi modernizarea unor tehnologii complementare în procesul de elaborare printre care metalurgia secundarã a oţelului. În acest cadru, teza şi-a propus cercetarea posibilitãţilor de îmbunãtãţire a calitãţii oţelurilor prin perfecţionarea tehnologiilor de metalurgie secundarã pentru tratarea topiturilor metalice, vizând în special, cãile de reducere a conţinutului de gaze reziduale în structura materialului. Minimizarea conţinutului de gaze este un obiectiv major în procesul de fabricaţie a otelurilor durabile şi este legatã de influenţa pe care o exercitã gazele asupra calitãţii oţelului, respectiv asupra caracteristicilor produsului siderurgic. Maria NICOLAE In the process of the restructuring and sustainability of the own Iron and Steel Industry, beginning with the `70 years, all industrialized countries showed an obvious interest for this sector, considered to be of the strategic and national importance. The sustainability process and continuous improvement in the existing technologies and technics as well as the development of the new processes represent concrete steps toward the rationalization of the resources and, in this way, toward a lasting development of the steel industry. The specialists preoccupation to increase the productivity of the production capacities in the conditions of reduced costs and to improve the quality and performances of the steel products determined the coming out, development and modernization of some complementary technologies in the frame of making, like the secondary metallurgy of steel. In this framework the doctorate thesis approached to research the possibilities to improve the steel quality through perfectioning of the technologies concerning metallic melting charge treatment in the secondary metallurgy area, especially aiming the reducing ways of the residual gases content in the material structure. The gases content minimizing is a major target in the making process of the durable steels being connected with the performed influence of the gases on the steel quality and finally, on the steel product characteristics.
