Abstract: Abstract The purpose of this PhD thesis is based on the development of some implanted alloys (CoCrMo and a new alloy TiAlZr), in a diversity of medical fields and on the improvement of antimicrobial activity, in order to increase the efficiency of their performances. The evaluation of the behaviour of these alloys, coated and uncoated with HA, n-Ag, HA + n-Ag, also with HA/n-Ag/tobramycin in solutions which act as physiological liquids (Ringer 2, SBF, SBF with different albumine concentrations), was made to emphasize the osteointegration capacity of these alloys in the human body. Another important objective, consisted of determining the antimicrobial activity of these coated and uncoated alloys, which resulted in obtaining differentiated biocompatible surfaces. There are used several techniques : open circuit potential for short, medium and long times, cyclic voltammetry, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) , inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), contact angle, for measurements of corrosion rate and corrosion parameters. The results obtained can be used to determine the properties of implantable materials and for enhancing the bioperformance of implants behaviour. The aim is to improve the antimicrobian activity and to ensure the future performance of prosthetic technologies.
