Abstract: Contributions at determining Power Quality This thesis is in category of applied studies not only a theoretical one. In this thesis is developed an energy quality system .The novelty of this work that brings in quality electricity is that it focuses on reducing costs of power quality analysis systems which are currently very high because these systems contain complex hardware and offered by a specific producer with a price in accordance. The same is true for software dedicated to this equipment, which is locked and can only run on that hardware platform offered. So in this thesis I have developed, built and implemented an algorithm for power quality analysis that can be run on a hardware platform accessible to anyone (usually a PC). The program developed can be used alone or can be adapted with changing regulations or if the user wishes to change the operating system platform and everything is done with minimum effort. By implementing this program for calculating the costs of monitoring and analysis will be minimal and will be given only by transformers and acquisition board that can be chosen by the user's material possibility. The number of such systems deployed in a location can be as high as desired in these conditions because the user will not have to do anything but to install software on many computers and wants to connect them to each one data acquisition board. Evidence for the need of these systems is the study of Sharmistha Bhattacharyya and Sjef efectiat Cobben in the Technical University of Eindhoven that I have chosen to present in Chapter 3 of this thesis. Numerical method is chosen taking in consideration Tomas Radil and Pedro M.’s (Instituto de Telecomunições, Lisbon and Instituto de Telecomunições Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, IST, Technical University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal) study which is presented in Chapter 4 of this thesis.
