Abstract: Antimicrobial Film-Forming Materials based on silver nanopowders ABSTRACT PhD thesis entitled ANTIMICROBIAL FILM-FORMING MATERIALS BASED ON SILVER NANOPOWDERS generally aimed to studies and experimental research for obtaining and characterization of environmental antimicrobial coating materials (without volatile organic solvents) based on silver nanoparticles, materials with outstanding properties and a wide range of application in medicine (hospitals, clinics, medical offices), education (universities, schools, kindergartens), pharmaceutical industry, food industry, retail, etc. The main objectives of the thesis were: Obtaining silver nanoparticles by chemical method, effective dispersed in the polymeric material; Achieving organic antimicrobial coating materials, water-diluted, based on silver nanoparticles, effective in a wide range of microorganisms (bacteria, fungus, mushrooms - at least 15 strains); Testing the antimicrobial activity of coating materials based on silver nanoparticles: It was proven that coating material formulations with silver nanoparticles in their composition have antifungal activity on 16 types of mushrooms and fungus: Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus terreus, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus versicolor, Paecilomyces varioti, Aureobasidium pullulans, Penicillium glaucum, Penicillium citrinum, Scopulariopsis brevicaulis, Stachybotris atra, Trichoderma viride, Aspergillus brasiliensis, Mucor racemosus, Peniciullium roquefortii si Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It was proven that coating material formulations in their composition with silver nanoparticles have antimicrobial activity on 8 types of bacteria gram negative and gram positive: Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Pneumococ, Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris, Salmonella typhimurium, Enterococcus faecalis.
