Contribuţii la optimizarea convertoarelor statice nepoluante

Abstract: The objective of the thesis is to identify the negative effects (the electromagnetic interferences, the large signal transients and the input current harmonic distorsions) which generate the electrical pollution and gather some contributions to improving the performances of the static converters. In the first part of this paper, a critical study of the d.c.-d.c. and a.c.-d.c. static converters in the specific literature is presented. It is given points to the dual character of the static converters: source of the current harmonics and solution for power factor correction. In the second part, the large signal transients of the switching d.c.-d.c. converters are investigated on purpose to their optimization. First, the transient response in open loop of the elementary converters (buck, boost and buck-boost) are analyzed through modelling and simulation, considering the load or the supply voltage variations. The results are validated by the experiments. The optimization criteria are defined and the optimum solution area is determined. Then, the dynamic behaviour of the closed loop d.c.-d.c. converters is investigated using digital controllers. In the final part of this paper, dedicated to non-pollutant a.c.-d.c. static converters, firstly, the power factor correction methods and basic circuit topologies for this converters are presented. Then, a comparative analysis of a pollutant converter (thyristor controlled bridge with capacitive filter) and a non-pollutant converter (with power factor correction) is achieved. The performances of the last converter, concerning the harmonic contents of the input current, the dynamics and the size, are improved.
